Top 10 Spring Nail Polishes

During the spring time I tend to go for more bright and colourful nail polish, here are my top 10 picks for spring:

10) Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Satsuma
This is a great spring shade because it's an orangery red. I love these polishes because they are super shiny and last so long. To achieve opaque colour I use two thin coats. I also like these because there super cheap at £3.99 each.

9) Maybelline Forever Strong Pro in Ceramic Blue
This baby blue shade is a lovely pastel choice. I love this because I don't have anything else like it in my collection. To achieve opaque colour I apply two coats of this. This also lasts quite well on my nails it will last a couple days before chipping. This retails at £4.49

8) Barry M Nail Painy in Cappuccino
Sometimes in spring I like slightly darker shades than pastels and brights. This is a brilliant opinion because it a mauve brown with is great in any season. It is also a bargain at £2.99. To achieve opaque colour I apply two coats. This also lasts so well on the nails I have gone a full week before without chipping.

7) Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Papaya
Another favourite from the Gelly range. This is a lovely peachy pink shade. I love this because it's somewhere in between a pastel and a bright. To achieve opaque colour I apply two thin coats. This lasts well on the nails it can last up to a week on my nails before chipping. This retails at £3.99

6) Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Guava
As you can tell I love the Barry M Gelly range. My next pick is a lovely teal/ turquoise shade. I love this because it's very bright and not something I would usually go for. This is also great because it can go awhile without chipping. To achieve opaque colour I apply two thin coats. This retails at £3.99

5) Sally Hanson Complete Salon Manicure in Gold Roses
This is a lovely simple nail polish, because of the rose gold colour it's not bright or in your face it is very subtle but lovely. To achieve opaque colour I apply two coats. This lasts a couple of days before chipping which is great. This retails at £6.99

4) Ciate Paint Pot in Sugar Plum
This is a lovely pastel purple shade. I love this because it really stands out on my nails and is a perfect colour. The only let down with this is that it doesn't go long without chipping and you have to apply three coats before its opaque. This retails at £9.00

3) OPI Nail Lacquer in Don't Prezel My Buttons
Can I just say how much I love this name it so cute. This is a lovely nude shade, it matches my complexion so well. I am very pale by the way. This also lasts very well with being a couple days before it chips. To achieve opaque colour I apply two coats. This retails at £11.95

2) Essie Nail Polish in Muchi Muchi
I love this nail polish because it is a baby pink that is not too pale for my complexion. Also Essie nail polishes last so well on my nails with it being a week before it chips. To achieve opaque colour I apply 3 coats this is because it is a very pale colour. This retails at £7.99

Soap And Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Crayons Review

Swatches top to bottom: Raplumzel, Bashful, Fuchsia-ristic

I personally think any kind of lip gloss product is amazing for a quick fix in the mornings when you are rushing and don't have a lot of time for makeup.

These Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Crayons are amazing for that. With the easy crayon shape they are so quick to apply.

These are also great for dry lips because they are very glossy and sheer which will hide any dry patches of skin you may have on the lips.

The shades that I have came in a Christmas pack which was about £12, but you can buy all the shades separately for £8 each.

They are also great for beginners and smell amazing, they remind me of the Max lipsticks in smell, that lovely Vaniella scent. These also last quite well, not through food and drink but it doesn't really matter because you can apply them again quickly.

My favourite shade out of the trio has to be Raplumzel which is a lovely sheer plum colour, this is a great winter shade but you can also get away with it on spring too because it is sheer. The shade Bashful is a lovely everyday shade because it is like a muted down Barbie pink. I must admit that I was a little disappointed with the shade Fuchsia-ristic because by the sound of the name I thought I was getting a bright pink shade, but it is that sheer that is almost looks like Raplumzel just a tiny bit lighter.

Overall I do think this product is amazing and I will be purchasing more of these because they are great for everyday!

Review of the Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencils

Swatches top to bottom: 310 Berry Much, 150 Fuchsia Desire

When I saw this new product in Superdrug the other week I got very excited! and when I swatched them I got even more excited because the texture of these are very buttery and smooth.

I love these because they last all day and last through some foods, which is great for me because I can never be bothered applying lip product after eating. These also don't easily smudge which is a massive bonus because that means they stay put.

I also love these because you don't have to apply tones of product to get a very intense bold lip, because of this they almost feel weightless on the lips. They are also very quick to apply because of the pencil form that they come in.

These also remind me of the Nars Velvet pencils, personally I have never tried them so I can't confirm that there a dupe but other people have said they are.

The only downfall with these is that they can be quite drying because of the velvet finish they do have.

Tip for when applying:
Apply lip balm about 10 minutes before because if you put it on straight after lip balm, they can become very sheer and slippery to work with.

Overall, these are a great lip product, I will defiantly buy more of these. They retail at £4.99 each, bargain!

Current Top 10 Lipsticks

Swatches of lipsticks:
Left to Right: Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy in 120 Desirable, Mac Shy Girl, Rimmel 107, Maybelline Pink Brown, Rimmel 101, Mac Russian Red, Revlon Black Cherry, Topshop Infrared, Maybelline Hot Plum, Mac Snob

Personally lipstick is essential to any makeup look because it can add sheer or opaque colour to the lips. This can also make a makeup look pop!

10) Mac Snob Lipstick
This beauty is at number 10. This is a brilliant lipstick because it has a satin finish, this is semi-matte. I love this because it gives the matte look without getting the dry finish that some matte lipsticks can have. This lasts okay on the lips it comes off when eating food but can stay on the lips for hours if you have no food or drink. This is a pale Pink shade. This is at number 10 because sometimes I can feel that it can look too pale on my skin and look a bit ghostly. This is mostly during the winter time. This is still one of my favorites though. This retails at £15.50

9) Maybelline Coloursensational lipstick in 906 Hot Plum
This next shade is a bit of a different one for me. This is a bright purple/pink shade. This is the only bright purple I own. This colour is very unique in a good way. This lipstick has a glossy finish. Even though it has a glossy finish I find that it lasts so well, it even lasts through eating some foods! This retails at £6.99

8) Topshop lipstick in Infrared
This next shade is so bright it is almost neon. This is a wonderful shade if you want your lips to be the main feature of your face. This has a velvet finish. I find with this lipstick that it starts off really moisturising and then goes completely matte and maybe a little drying. No worries though nothing a little lip balm won't fix! This doesn't last through food but it reapplies well. I love this orange shade I wish I could get away with it even in winter months. This retails at £8.99

7) Revlon Super Lusterous lipstick in 477 Black Cherry
Even in spring I sometimes like to wear a dark lip. This is a great option because you can build how strong you want it to be. This has a glossy finish which is very moisturising. This kind of lasts through food because it leaves a stain on the lips. This retails at £7.49

6) Mac Russian Red lipstick
I feel like every collection should have a classic red lip. This is a great option because it is completely matte which makes it last all day. This also is quite moisturising. This even lasts well through food and doesn't go all over the place (with a good lip liner). This retails at £15.50

5)  Rimmel Kate Matte lipstick in 101
This is a great everyday kind of shade. This is a mauve/pink shade. This has a matte finish and is also moisturising. This doesn't last through food but it reapplies evenly. This retails at £5.49

4) Maybelline Coloursensational lipstick in 620 Pink Brown
This is another great everyday shade, this is like your lips but better. This somehow makes your lips look bigger and plumper. It's great. This has a glossy finish which is very moisturising. This is great because it fades off evenly and is so easy to reapply.  This retails at £6.99

3) Rimmel Kate Matte lipstick in 107
This is one of my most worn shades out of my whole collection. This is a dark burgundy shade. This is has a matte finish but is moisturising. This lasts all day and lasts through some foods. As a whole I would definitely recommend the Kate Matte lipsticks. This retails at £5.49

2) Mac Shy Girl lipstick
This is another great every day shade. This is a peachy nude colour. The finish is a cremesheen which is very moisturising. With this finish they are not the most long lasting lipsticks. They don't last with food, but they reapply well. This retails at £15.50

1) Estée Lauder Pure Colour Envy lipstick in 120 Desirable
This is my favourite lipstick of all time. This is a pinky nude shade. This is the most moisturising lipstick I have every tried. It's so glossy it almost looks like a lipgloss with the intensity of a lipstick. This stays all day and last through some foods. With this lipstick I don't have to apply lip balm because it is that moisturising. It is wonderful. This retails at  £24
