Maybelline Fit Me Concealer Review

Sometimes it's hard finding concealer that doesn't dry skin out and gives the right amount of coverage. Well I was pleasantly surprised when I purchased this goodie the other week!

The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is a dream for anyone with dry skin. It is luminous and very hydrating. So it doesn't stick to any dry patches. It also has a light to medium coverage which is great for everyday wear. I would recommend this for every skin type because it's just lovely the only thing I would say for oily skin is to definitely set it with a Powder.

Also if you ever need to touch up during the day this is great because it doesn't cake and it is very forgiving. This retails for £5.99 which is a bargain. So grab yours and experience this lovely weightless concealer!

Hoped you liked this short review, come back next week for another blog post.

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty

1) GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

The most inexpensive beauty product would be my Collection lasting perfection concealer. It has full coverage and lasts for ages and comes in a range of good shades for my pale skin. All for £4.19. My most expensive beauty product would probably be my Naked palettes. I love them because they come with lovely shades that are all buttery and are easy to blend, but they are quite expensive £30+ each depending where you buy them.

2) WRATH: What beauty product do you have a love/hate relationship with?

I have a love/hate relationship with Rimmel Stay matte powder because as my skin has got drier I have noticed that it has begun to cling to dry patches. But if my skin it hydrated it normally doesn't cling.

3) GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?

The most delicious beauty product I own has to be my Lush Lip Scrub in Bubblegum. It is so delicious and tastes like bubblegum lollipops. Also it gets all the dead skin off your lips and is safe to eat so its a win-win situation.

4) SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness?

I neglect gel eyeliner just because it takes way too long if your in a rush and it is so easy to mess it up. It is so much quicker to use pen liquid liner. I also neglect fake tan because I never have time for tanning my body every couple of days.

5) PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?

The beauty products that gives me the most self confidence is probably Nars Sheer Glow because it it doesn't cling to my dry patches. It also makes my face look flawless and dewy with just one pump.

6) LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

Defiantly a sense of humor, he has to be able to make me laugh. But also he has to be caring and sweet. As for looks I love beards but its not really necessary.

7) ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

I would love to get some fancy makeup or lush products. Sometimes it's quite nice receiving something you wouldn't normally buy for yourself.

My Piercings and Tattoos Tag

A lot of people ask me does getting tattoos and piercing hurt. In this I am going to go through each of my piercings and explain the pain because every part of the body is different. I am going to go in time order too.

Piercings

  1. My first ever piercing was my first lobe. I had these done in Claire's when I was about 9 with a gun. The pain wasn't bad after a couple of seconds it was over I would rate it 1 out of 5 and taking it out was fine.
  2. My second piercing was my nose piercing I had this done when I was 16. I had this done with a needle. The pain was about a 2 out of 5. When it came to taking it out for the first time it was okay but I had brought not good jewellery and the diamond that it had in it fell out within days. So that led me to change it again which caused it to get a keloid. I personally got my piercer to pop it hygienically. After that it was fine and I haven't had a problem since.
  3. My third piercing was my second lobe piercing I had this done with a needle again, The pain was about a 2 out of 5 because the gun had a lot of shock. With that I had some problems when taking them out, because I chose small studs they went through my ears which caused healing to prolong but after that they were fine.
  4. My fourth piercing I had at the same time as my 2nd lobes which was my helix piercing. I had this done with a needle and the pain was a 1 out of 5. The problems with this is I had a labret bar put in and I have long hair so it was forever getting tangled which caused the piercing to get irritated and it swelled quite a lot. I still have a little bump under it but with sea salt soaks it should go away on it's own.
  5. My next piercing was my tragus piercing. I had this done with a needle and the pain was a 3.5 out of 5. It wasn't too bad but it hurt a bit. This also got a keliod while healing so I changed it to a hoop straight away and it healed perfectly. I have now changed it to a labret bar and it is fully healed.
  6. At the same time as getting my tragus I got my triple forward helix done. I had these done with a needle and the pain was a 4 out of 5. Getting 3 piercings at once is a lot harder than getting one. But I got through it. I have recently changed them to hoops because I had a lot of swelling and keloids. They are healing well now I still have troubles with my top one but I am doing sea salt washes twice a day and putting tea tree oil on it every night and it seems to be going down. If I were to have another piercing I would have it done with a hoop because they seem to heal better because of the amount of swelling I have.

Tattoos

I only currently have one tattoo and that is of an anchor with a love heart. This has a special meaning to me by representing to always keep strong and no matter what your loved ones are always there for you. The pain of getting a tattoo was about a 2 out of 5. After having it done it swelled up quite a bit but went down quickly. I applied Bepanthen for about 3 weeks and then it was fully healed.

July Favourites

I can't believe it is August already. June has been a hectic month for me and I have been using a lot of quick beauty products. Here are some of my favourites for this month:

Nars Loves Miami Palette

I love this palette because it has a blush, a bronzer and 4 eyeshadows, which is great because it means not pulling out loads of different products. This is also great for travel. The quality of the products inside are amazing. I love the blush called Orgasm and Laguna bronzer. I also love the taupe shade of eyeshadow. Overall, this is a great palette. This retails around £30 and comes with a mini nail polish and lip gloss, both in the shade Orgasm.

Hollister Silver Strand Beach Fragrance Mist

This body spray is the best. The scent reminds me of summer. It's very sweet and has a slight peach smell to it. It is great because the scent lasts all day and it also goes well with the body butter I'm using at the moment which is the peach one from the Body Shop. This retails at £11.

NYX Dewy Setting Spray

As it is summer, I have been enjoying more glowy makeup. So to create this I have been using lighter foundations. I have added a step which is to add this setting spray over the top, which has been helping a lot. It makes my makeup nice and dewy but also sets it in place all day. This retails at £8.

Chloe Love Story Perfume

Recently I have also been quite enjoying flowery scents. I love this fragrance because it is still flowery but has a slight fruity scent to it so its not overwhelming, like I find the original Chloe. I also love this because it lasts all day and has the cutest bottle ever.

Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Crayon in Bashful

Swatch of Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Crayon in Bashful
As the days have to more busy I have enjoyed fast makeup products and this is one of them. The crayon application makes it easy to apply and it always looks great no matter what. This is a sheer Barbie pink colour which makes a great sheer nude for my lips. This is quick and pretty. Overall, I love this product. This retails at £8.

Maybelline The Rocket Mascara

This product comes as quite a shock because at first I didn't like this mascara at all. With this I put it in my draw and forgot about it. Recently I got it back out and was pleasantly surprised it is actually pretty good. It gives my lashes length and volume and doesn't flake. The only thing it doesn't really curl my lashes but other than that this is amazing. This retails at £7.99

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation Review

The Nars All Days Luminous Weightless Foundation is a relatively new foundation on the market and it is getting talked about a lot recently. I am going to review this foundation for you now.

First of all, the consistency is very light and the foundation's texture is very thin. Almost a bit like water. This consistency gives the foundation a light feel to the skin. When you wear it you can hardly feel it on your skin.

The coverage of the foundation is medium to full. You could get light cover if you add half a pump and apply it with a damp beauty blender. I apply 1 full pump with a damp beauty blender and with is medium to full coverage.

The finish of this foundation is also quite luminous. What I like is there is no glitter in this, and the finish is not greasy at all. I still have to powder because I have combination to oily skin. The colour that I have which is Mont Blanc is also the perfect shade for my pale skin which is so hard to find. This retails for £32 and I think it is worth all the money.

Overall I love this product! Hope you all enjoyed this quite review, stay tuned next Friday for a favourites post.

P.S. I have not been blogging for a while. I originally was only meant to take 2 weeks off. But due to stuff that has happened over the last couple weeks I haven't been up to blogging. You will know if you follow my Instragram account which is Emmalouise0497. I am back to blogging now so expect more content. Thanks guys xx

Bleach London The Big Pink Review

Recently, I got really bored with my hair. So bored that I wanted to colour my hair all different kind of crazy colours.

So I went to boots and purchased Bleached London the big pink. This is a non permanent hair dye which is great because it washed out after a few washes.

I put the die though my ombred bit of my hair to create ombre pink hair. The picture above is how it turned out. To create this I used some dying brushes to apply the dye and then I rubbed it in using my fingers. I then left it on for 40 minutes. I did this because my hair is not bleach blonde so it took longer for the dye to take to my hair.

I have washed it about 4 times now and the dye has left a candyfloss pink in my hair which is really pretty. I really love this product and will definitely be buying more of these in different colours.
These retail at £5 and you get 150ml in a bottle which is enough for creating this ombre look.

Hope you enjoyed this quick review, come back next week for a review on a foundation I have been loving recently!

What I Got For My Birthday 2015

Makeup/Skincare

Recently it was my 18th birthday and I got a few makeup and skin care goodies. I personally watch and read stuff like this and enjoy it hopefully you do to! Quick disclaimer I am not bragging with this and I am grateful for everything. With that in mind let's get started!

Naked 2 Pallete

First of all I got the Naked 2 Pallete, I love this pallete because it has slightly cool toned eyeshadows compared to the naked one pallete. I especially love the colour tease because it's a lovely cool shade of brown and it's also matte which is great for the crease.

Benefit Highbrow Glow

I've wanted this product for so long because it's an easy way to apply highlight to the brow and the inner corner of the eye. You apply it straight from the pencil then blend it in with your finger. I love this because it's a champagne colour.

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation

I have watched and read plenty of reviews on this. This is quite a new foundation for Nars. It has a weightless feel to it and is luminous. With one pump I get medium to full coverage with this. The best way I find to apply it is with a beauty blender. I have the shade Mont Blanc, which matches my skin perfectly.

Chloe Lovestory Perfume

This may now become my everyday perfume. I love the smell of this. It is quite floral which I'm shocked I like because I never really go for floral smells but this is lovely and I will be wearing it most of the time now.

Lush Creamy Candy Bath Bubble Bar Slice

Continuing with the nice smelling things I got a few lush things. Firstly I got this, I love bubble bars because they do multiple baths and create so many bubbles. This is a lovely bubblegum smell which is my favourite scent from lush.

Lush Sakura Bathbomb

This has a lovely foral scent to it and it has popping crystals on the top. This is also meant to fizz and I am excited to see which colour my bath turns.

Lush Plaffy Egg Bathbomb

This was part of their Easter collection. This is a lovely candy floss smelling Bathbomb in the shape of a Easter egg. I am also excited to see which colour my bath turns with this.

Other Stuff

Chloe Lovestory Perfume Bag

I got this with the perfume it is a lovely little bag which I could use for makeup I like this because it's lined inside which helps in case there's a leak.

Me To You 18th Birthday Cup

Wouldn't be an 18th without something with 18 on it. I got this lovely cup with the cute me to you bear on it. I will be enjoying this for tea.

Earrings and Necklace Set

I also got this lovely set of earrings and a necklace. They are love heart shaped with diamontes on them. I like these because they are quite elegant.

Trinket Box

And finally I got this lovely trinket box. It is mirrored and has pearls in the cover. As you can tell I will be storing earring in this.

Thank you for reading what I got for my birthday, stay tuned for another blogpost next Friday!

Top 10 Spring Nail Polishes

During the spring time I tend to go for more bright and colourful nail polish, here are my top 10 picks for spring:

10) Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Satsuma

9) Maybelline Forever Strong Pro in Ceramic Blue
This baby blue shade is a lovely pastel choice. I love this because I don't have anything else like it in my collection. To achieve opaque colour I apply two coats of this. This also lasts quite well on my nails it will last a couple days before chipping. This retails at £4.49

Sometimes in spring I like slightly darker shades than pastels and brights. This is a brilliant opinion because it a mauve brown with is great in any season. It is also a bargain at £2.99. This is also great because it can go awhile without chipping. To achieve opaque colour I apply two thin coats. This retails at £3.99

5) Sally Hanson Complete Salon Manicure in Gold Roses

4) Ciate Paint Pot in Sugar Plum
This is a lovely pastel purple shade. I love this because it really stands out on my nails and is a perfect colour. The only let down with this is that it doesn't go long without chipping and you have to apply three coats before its opaque. This retails at £9.00

3) OPI Nail Lacquer in Don't Prezel My Buttons
Can I just say how much I love this name it so cute. This is a lovely nude shade, it matches my complexion so well. I am very pale by the way. This also lasts very well with being a couple days before it chips. To achieve opaque colour I apply two coats. This retails at £11.95

2) Essie Nail Polish in Muchi Muchi
I love this nail polish because it is a baby pink that is not too pale for my complexion. Also Essie nail polishes last so well on my nails with it being a week before it chips. To achieve opaque colour I apply 3 coats this is because it is a very pale colour. This retails at £7.99

1) Models Own Nail Polish in Beach Party
My favourite colour is orange so of course this is going to be my number 1. I love this shade because it is a neon orange. This also goes well with tanned and pale skin.
